A low cab doesn't involve sacrificing driver comfort

1.39 metres to play with

If you transport cars, you need a low truck. Because room for one more is often a matter of centimetres. The low sleeper cab on the new Volvo FM is lower than ever – only 2.61 metres given the right specification. If you need to stay within the European 4 metre limit, that leaves up to 1.39 metres for your cargo

No antennas sticking up from the roof

A clutter-free roof

Taking advantage of the low cab height means having nothing on the roof. So the antennas on the Volvo FM can all be moved – the WLAN antenna to the front shelf, the phone antenna to the dashboard and the toll collect, FM, CB radio and Dynafleet antennas to the cab sides.

Hop in, hop out

When you’re in and out of the cab all day every day, it needs to be easy. In the Volvo FM, it is. The extra-low chassis puts the entry step only 26 centimetres above the ground – depending on tyre dimension and brand. The door opens a full 90 degrees, and grab handles lets you swing up easily.
