Roger Alm Appointed as the New President of Volvo Trucks

Roger Alm has been appointed as the new President of Volvo Trucks and as a new member of Volvo’s Group Executive Board. He will replace Claes Nilsson, who after a long and successful career, will retire as from January 1st 2019.

Roger Alm who replaces Claes Nilsson as the new President of Volvo Trucks and a member of Volvo’s Group Executive Board with effect from January 1st 2019.

Born in 1962, Roger Alm began his career at Volvo Trucks in 1989 and brings extensive experience from almost 30 years with Volvo, from product development to service, parts, sales and general management.

Roger has extensive experience from working many senior positions in Slovenia & Croatia, Poland and Australia before spending five years as President for Volvo Trucks in Latin America. Since 2016, Roger has held the position as Senior Vice President, Volvo Trucks Europe.

In his new position, Roger will be part of Volvo Group Executive Board and will report to Martin Lundstedt, President and CEO of the Volvo Group, who said, "Roger's substantial contribution to Volvo over the years makes me fully confident that Volvo Trucks will continue to develop greatly and deliver continuous solid performances," says Martin Lundstedt.

"We have built a strong foundation and I look forward to working together with colleagues, dealers and customers to deliver a continous strong performance."

Claes Nilsson has been the President of Volvo Trucks since March 2016.
