The feeling of evolution is present as soon as you enter the Volvo FH16 cab. It’s different from what you’re used to – yet very familiar. The colours, materials and trims are unmistakably Volvo FH16. Seated, everything is located where you expect it to be. Your hand naturally lands on the I-Shift gear lever, neatly integrated into the seat.

But the entire driver interface is new – designed to let you keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road. Placing you in full control of everything you need to do the job right, and to keep your business margins right while you’re at it.

The instrument display is fully digital and opens up new possibilities to tailor your work environment to your needs in any situation. An easy to use traction control gives you better traction by turning it clockwise and in the instrument display, you’ll have full control of the diff locks and loads on all your axles. A new nine-inch side display gives you control of truck functions, including up to eight cameras and apps.

The new user interface includes Alexa – Amazon’s cloud-based voice service. Using Alexa enables you to do more in life with your voice. Placing phone calls, listening to the news, asking for directions, accessing audiobooks, playing your favorite songs and checking road and traffic conditions are just a handful of examples of what you can do with Alexa.

I-Shift

With I-Shift, every gear change is timed precisely. The gear lever is integrated into the seat and has an ergonomic design that’s both easy to use and stays out of your way when you’re not driving. If you prefer, you can get your I-Shift controlled with buttons in the dashboard instead of a gear lever.
