The feeling that evolution has taken steps ahead is clear as you enter the Volvo FM. It’s different – yet very familiar. The first thing that will strike you is probably that it’s spacious and light. The bigger roof hatch lets in more light from above, enhancing the spacious feeling. Seated, everything is located where you expect it to be.

You’ll find the perfect steering wheel position with the neck tilt function and your hand naturally lands on the I-Shift gear lever, neatly integrated into the seat. The visibility around the truck is hard to beat; the door line is low, the window surfaces are generous and every angle of the cab is designed to place you in control.

Beyond that, the entire driver interface is new – designed to help you keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road. Putting you in full control of everything you need to do the job right, and to keep your business margins right while you’re at it.

The instrument display is fully digital and creates new possibilities to tailor the work environment for your needs in any situation. A new nine-inch side display gives you control of truck functions, like up to eight cameras and apps. It’s also easy to have full control of your axles and differentials. This is the command centre of your mobile office.

The new user interface includes Alexa – Amazon’s cloud-based voice service. Using Alexa enables you to do more in life with your voice. Placing phone calls, listening to the news, asking for directions, accessing audiobooks, playing your favorite songs and checking road and traffic conditions are just a handful of examples of what you can do with Alexa.

The interior surfaces and materials radiate premium quality, regardless of trim level. Choose between three trim levels and a wide range of colours. You’ll find your style.

I-Shift

With I-Shift, every gear change is timed precisely. The gear lever is integrated into the seat and has an ergonomic design that’s both easy to use and keeps out of your way when you’re not driving.

What does Alexa enable me to do?

Full control

The cab is built for visibility. For even more, you can fit up to eight cameras on the truck and see the views in the side display. You can constantly watch out for your truck, surrounding traffic and your load.

Space and storage

All Volvo FM cab versions offer a spacious feel and smart storage for the things you need. The rear wall storage in the day cabs and the convenient storage under the bed in the sleeper cabs are just a few examples.
