All the new trucks come with NJB Recycling's instantly recognisable Union Jack livery, which for the first time features a safety-compliant, fully-reflective cab wrap.

Supplied by Tony Woods, Transport Solutions Executive at Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London, the trio of FL-250 skip loaders are with fitted with Hyva skip bodies that include remote control operation for increased safety levels. The 410hp FMX rigids were specified with Thompson tipper bodies and grabs.

Delivered with four-year Volvo service contracts, the group are also fitted with Volvo's I-Shift automated transmission system, which in a short space of time has proved popular with the firm's drivers.

"After just a few days, the feedback from our drivers was amazing. They really appreciated how user friendly the Volvos were, whilst the comfort and performance levels were also highly rated," notes Jamie Bowie, Managing Director at NJB Recycling.

FORS Silver accredited and Crossrail Compliant, NJB Recycling also viewed Volvo Trucks as having an environmental advantage.

"Volvo's Euro-6 engine solutions for short haul vehicles operating in stop start traffic is class leading," Jamie Bowie reports.

The company's Union Jack cab wrap evolved around the time of the 2012 London Olympic Games and the attendant ‘feel good' factor that swept across the UK. The Volvos debut a new reflective version, which complements other safety equipment such as additional cameras and side scan systems.
