Scheduled to operate nationwide across the UK, the new Volvo trucks come with a host of safety equipment that will benefit vulnerable road users, motorists and the trucks' drivers alike.

Supplied by Keith Bradley, Account Director at The Hartshorne Group, the 50 new Volvos are equipped with environmentally friendly, Euro-6, D13K engines producing 500hp and I-Shift automated manual transmissions systems. Volvo's standard fit, Forward Collision Warning and Advanced Emergency Braking System  (AEBS) is complemented by Lane Keeping Support and Nearside Proximity Sensors.

The top choice, crash-tested Globetrotter XL all steel safety cab also provides a comfortable and protected environment for drivers. Augmenting the interior are additional high specification, Drive Plus and Living packages. A bespoke catwalk solution also offers drivers a non-slip platform to work on, when coupling or uncoupling trailers.

Providing 100 per cent guaranteed uptime for the new trucks are 36-month, Volvo Gold Service contracts that will be delivered by The Hartshorne Group's dealer point infrastructure. Halfords Group Ltd also opted for Volvo's Dynafleet telematics package that helps improve fuel efficiency and increase operating efficiencies.
