Building on an existing, long established commitment to its local community, the staff at the Volvo Group UK & Ireland in Wedgnock Lane, Warwick, has been investigating ways of how they can increase their support.
After meeting Hannah Morris, Partnerships Manager at The Myton Hospices, it was agreed that Volvo Group staff would provide some Easter Eggs baskets, which they could use on their tombola stalls.
The Volvo Group sourced all the materials required and numerous teams of three built the Easter egg baskets, personalising each with their individual names. These were then donated to The Myton Hospices, who has a considerable presence in the local community across Coventry and Warwickshire.
Hannah Morris, said, "The incredible donation of beautiful Easter egg hampers will be used over the Easter period to help raise funds for The Myton Hospices, who last year supported more than 1,400 people and their families in our three hospices via our patient and family support service and in the community through Myton at Home. As a charity we have to raise £8.8 million to continue providing our services free of charge and this wouldn't be possible without the support of the local community."
Danny Nussbaum, HR Director for the Volvo Group UK & Ireland added, "The Myton Hospices provides a much needed service to our local community. We know that the support they offer has touched a number of our employees' friends or family and we hope that this small gesture will help them continue with their excellent work."
