The new premises is situated within a secure, gated, 28-acre site – approximately 11 miles from the current dealership – and offers increased workshop capacity and a more modern working environment to benefit both customers and staff.
Stuart Potter, Operations Director, Volvo Truck and Bus Centre South & East, says: “For the last 25 years Dawsongroup has been both our landlord and customer in Milton Keynes, with our team sharing their site. They’ve been fantastic to us, but as our local operations continue to expand, it was the right time to move into our own depot. Geographically it’s a perfect fit for our network; and we’ve been able to tailor the configuration of the workshop to cater for both current and future needs, supporting diesel, LNG and electric fleets.”
The new site is located just off the A6 trunk road, one mile south of the A421 Bedford Southern Bypass and 10 miles from junction 13 of the M1 – close to many major haulage and own-account operators.
The workshop has been fitted out and equipped to service and maintain the complete range of Volvo trucks and buses, as well as handling all-makes of chassis, bodywork and trailer servicing. The dealership also benefits from brake testing, headlight beam setting and tachograph and speed limiter calibration and fitting.
The site is equipped to hold more than £425,000 worth of Genuine Volvo Parts and is home to a fleet of three Volvo Action Service vans, which are on standby 24/7 to provide emergency roadside assistance across the surrounding area.
Volvo Truck and Bus Centre South & East is the largest dealer group within the Volvo Trucks UK & Ireland network, and currently operates from 17 sites spanning the South & East of England.
The new premises were secured through commercial property consultants Kirkby Diamond, acting on behalf of developer and asset manager Canmoor.
